A Tulsa man was rushed to surgery after police said he was shot in the face at his home on North Peoria near Apache. It happened just after 4 a.m.

Police said it appears three or four men kicked in the front door. The victim fought back and was shot, according to police.

They say the victim made it to a neighbor's home to ask for help before collapsing on their front porch.

"As of now, he's doing OK," said Detective Richard Aschoff said later that morning.

"We don't know if anything's missing; he wasn't able to tell us. I don't know if he knows that information at this time," the detective said.

Tulsa Police are still investigating the shooting.

If you have any information regarding the shooting, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
