Authorities have apprehended an inmate who escaped Friday afternoon from a state prison in Hodgen.

Daryl Cooper, 31, was reported missing after failing to show for a 6 p.m. roll call at the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center.

He was sentenced in April for two and a half years for failing to register as a sex offender.

The LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office told KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Cooper was located in Heavner and taken into custody.  

Details on his arrest were not released.
