Muskogee Police Search For Suspect In Road Rage Crash

"Did you get that dude? I'm calling 911 right now."

A road rage crash is caught on camera.

Muskogee police say a pickup intentionally slammed into a car on Highway 62 then drove away.

The teenagers who were hit say they didn't think the truck was actually going to crash into them.

The video shows a pickup truck following so closely, it almost looks like it's pushing the car in front of it.

 “We were like ‘what is he doing? Why is he so close?’” Gracie Bottger said. “We were really lucky.”

The scrapes on their faces show what teenagers Gracie Bottger and Noah Wilson have been through. Although, they can't get another face out of their mind.

“I mean, he just looked like in complete rage,” Bottger said.

The young couple was in a car being tailgated.

Wilson says he was trying to pass the car in the slow lane -- even going a few miles over the speed limit -- when the pickup came up behind him.

Of course, hindsight is 20/20.

“I didn't do anything intentionally,” Wilson said. “I was just passing the car and that guy got up behind me and so I got kind of nervous… I think I should have sped off and got around.”

The couple says that pickup truck had been following them for less than a minute when some strangers in a car behind them pulled out their cell phone and started recording.

And 18 seconds into that video...

“He just decides he's had enough,” Wilson said.

The truck rams into the couple's car –twice.

“You don't really think a whole lot,” Bottger said.

It sent them in front of the car they were trying to pass, causing them to slam into a guardrail.

“You're just like, I hope I don't die,” she said. “What puts you in that place to think you can do that to someone. I don't even know.”

Muskogee police don't know either, but they're working hard to find out so it doesn't happen again.

“If this happens to someone else, they might not be so lucky,”Bottger said.

“We're gonna find you eventually, and when we do, you're gonna go to jail and you're probably gonna lose your license,” MPD officer Lincoln Anderson said.

Police say the driver faces two felony charges – assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an accident.

The pickup is described as a dark red, newer model four-door Dodge with an OU sticker on the back window. If you recognize it in the video, call police.
