The Washington County Sheriff's Office says bones found along a county road south and east of Ramona Wednesday afternoon are human.
Deputies said at about 2:20 p.m., they got a call from a surveyor about remains found near the intersection of County Roads North 4000 and West 3700.

The state Medical Examiner's Office was notified, and they have taken the remains to Tulsa for examination.
Deputies cannot say if the remains are male or female, but the sheriff's office is treating the case as a homicide. The sheriff's office says they aren't investigating any missing person's reports.
