Preston Schools Closed Due Odor Of Gas

<p>Preston Public Schools in Okmulgee County said they canceled classes Thursday due to a natural gas odor. The school administration issued the notice early Thursday morning.</p>

Preston Public Schools in Okmulgee County said they canceled classes Thursday due to a natural gas odor. The school administration issued the notice early Thursday morning.

ONG said the odor was due to a loose fitting on a furnace and ONG workers shut off the gas while the fitting was being fixed.

The school also posted the information on the school Facebook page.

Preston is located just west of Highway 75 between Beggs and Okmulgee.
