After closing over 150 Walmart stores across the U.S. earlier this month, the retailer opened a new Walmart Neighborhood Market in Broken Arrow Wednesday.
The new store in the 1300 block of East Albany Street is near Broken Arrow's High School.
The company says this new store is bringing nearly 100 jobs to the community.
The Walmart Neighborhood Market is much smaller than a Walmart Supercenter, but like the Supercenter, it will also be open 24 hours a day.
This opening comes after Walmart announced the closing of 154 U.S. stores including six Walmart Express stores in Okemah, Luther, Prague, Stroud, Wewoka and Watonga. Those six stores are set to close Thursday.
