Some area gun rights groups are worried about an Oklahoma senate bill that could potentially ban gun shows from state fairgrounds.
Senate Bill 1347 is stirring up controversy, but lawmakers say that was never their intention. Now, the question is, what does it mean for Tulsa's State Fairgrounds - the River Spirit Expo - which hosts a gun show nearly every month.
If you know guns, you know the name Wanenmacher; it's the largest gun show in Tulsa, in the country, in the world, run by Joe Wanenmacher.
“It attracts people that would never set foot in Tulsa otherwise. So, I feel like I'm doing a good thing for my hometown," he said.
But, some second amendment activists claim if Senate Bill 1347 becomes a law it would make it illegal for Wanenmacher and others to host gun shows on state fairgrounds.
They also say the bill makes unlawful carry a misdemeanor crime.
"So immediately you're a criminal as soon as you walk through that door, even if you didn't see the sign," said OK2A president, Tim Gillespie.
Gillespie and OK2A, a statewide gun rights group, is outraged, saying the bill stomps on second amendment rights and would take away a huge source of revenue for Oklahoma.
"At least once a month there's a gun show. And so, overall, by the end of the year, that adds up," he said.
But lawmakers say that was never their intention and they're now trying to change the language to clarify gun shows will be allowed.
The bill's author, Senator Dan Barrington, said, "We are in the process of making changes to the bill, through the legislative process, working with 2nd Amendment associations, city leaders, and other lawmakers, to protect such events."

Wanenmacher said he trusts the legislators and he's not concerned.
“I would say, don't worry. I don't think it has a Chinaman's chance going through Oklahoma City," he said.
The bill is meant to protect those going to concerts and shows, and to keep guns out of the public shows; but these groups want to know what it could mean for the River Spirit Expo which just hosted a gun show and has at least five more scheduled this year.
It released a statement to News On 6 saying:
"Expo Square is committed to providing our community with year round, multi-use facilities and service options. Our facilities include premier exhibit halls and a world class livestock complex, which are available to host a variety of events and attractions.
"Our staff will continue to work closely with promoters and organizations to ensure all local, state and federal laws are followed."
