Bixby Police Arrest Teen For Second-Degree Rape At High School

Bixby Police arrested an 18-year-old Tulsa man they say met a minor student at the high school campus for sex.

Austin Michael Drake was booked on complaints of second-degree rape and possession of marijuana near a school.

An arrest report states a parking lot attendant reported an unauthorized pickup at the campus at 601 South Riverview Drive Friday morning, January 15.  Police say they could smell marijuana when they went up to the truck.

They found a small amount of a green, leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana, the arrest report states.

Detectives said they were told Drake met with a 15-year-old girl and had sex with her. Officers made contact with the girl who said she asked Drake to meet her during her lunch break, and they engaged in sexual intercourse.

"The juvenile female advised she verbally told the defendant to stop," the report states.

The arrest report states that due to Drake's age and the age of the juvenile female, he is expected to be charged with rape in the second degree as well as the drug complaint.
