Oklahoma Gas and Electric cut the ribbon on its first new service center in 22 years Monday. The Kellyville Service Center combines the resources of both the Sapulpa and Drumright facilities. A company spokesman says the old buildings had become old and outdated.
The new facility is located right off the Turner Turnpike, and it's state of the art.
"With the new facility here, and the more technology that's been engaged here, it's a really good central location for this 45,000 customer area that we're serving here," said Randy Swanson, OG&E. "We're really excited about it."
Forty people will work out of the new service center. It's built on 14 acres, so there's plenty of room to expand as Creek County grows.
