The Osage Nation is celebrating the grand opening of two new buildings.

The larger of the two buildings on the Osage Nation's campus in Pawhuska is an elaborate 20,000 square-foot Welcome Center at 239 West 12th Street. The smaller building is a new law center.

Principal Chief Geoffrey Standing Bear, Osage Nation Princess Alissa Hamilton, Osage Congressman R.J. Walker, Tribal Development and Land Acquisition Director Bruce Cass, Osage Nation Congress Speaker Maria Whitehorn, and Assistant Principal Chief Raymond RedCorn were on hand for a ribbon cutting.

Representatives from the tribe say the buildings are a much needed improvement as it has been more than 50 years since the other buildings on the campus were constructed.
