A truck carrying concrete crashed east of Owasso Wednesday morning shutting down traffic on a busy Rogers County road.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened on North 193rd East Avenue near 66th Street North just before 7 a.m. The wreck closed 193rd in both directions for several hours.
Troopers said it appeared the truck ran off left the right side of the road and the driver over corrected, which caused the truck roll onto its side. That spilled some of the 70,000 pounds of concrete into a ditch. The OHP says the driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The Limestone Fire Department worked the crash. Two large tow trucks righted the truck, which is owned by Eagle Concrete.
