Vinita Second-Grade Teacher Arrested On Molestation Allegations

A second-grade Vinita teacher has been arrested on accusations he molested a female student.

Ronnie Manners is in the Craig County Jail. Investigators also said his wife runs a daycare, and officials have shut it down. There is no confirmation that the daycare is involved or if it was closed out of precaution.

Investigators say Manners asked the alleged victim's mother if the girl could come over to play with the kids, and she agreed. Manners reportedly texted the mother on May 28 to set up the playdate, but the mother didn't realize Manners' wife and other kids weren't at the home.

The girl revealed the abuse accusations later and the investigation began.

Manners teaches at Hall Halsell Elementary School, according to the district's website.

Investigators said they are looking into whether or not there are any other victims.
