Sand Springs Fire Department say homeowners were out of town visiting friends when their house caught fire early Tuesday.
Fire Chief Mike Wood says a neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke and flames coming from the home in the 1600 block of South 81st West Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. The neighbor also tried to contact the homeowners on their cell phone but go no answer.
Firefighters searched the home twice and found no one inside.
Fire Marshall Stan Smith said the fire started in the bedroom but what started the fire is still unknown.
