Tulsa Prison Escapee Arrested

A 42-year-old man who escaped from a Tulsa halfway house more than two months ago is back behind bars. 

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says Charles Grijalva escaped from Avalon Correction Center on September 6, 2014. 

Police officers found Grijalva in Tulsa Wednesday and took him back into custody. 

DOC records show he was serving a three sentence for false impersonation out of Tulsa County. Grijalva was scheduled for release in July 2015.
