It's day two for the 17-story demethanizer tower that is being transported from Broken Arrow to Colorado. Crews from Northwest Logistics Heavy Haul got the huge tower quickly down the road from Glenpool on its way to Highway 117, Highway 97 and beyond.

Northwest Logistics is the Oklahoma City company that is carefully moving the monstrous oversized load. It was built by Exterran, a BA company that says it's the largest vessel they've ever built.

Sunday's route goes through Sapulpa, Sand Springs, Mannford and Drumright. The end of the line Sunday night is expected to be on the west side of Cushing on Highway 33.

Spectators turned out throughout the route to see what's believed to be Oklahoma's largest-ever oversized load on the move.

"A lot of people watched it last night and that's why we had to come this way and see the rest of it," said spectator Linda Holman. "See it really moving in and around the corner. We couldn't believe how they made it around the corner."

Saturday was slow going as crews navigated down Lynn Lane, 101st and Memorial through Bixby then Highway 67 to Glenpool.

Carlos Conerly of Northwest Logistics said the tower will be used at a plant to separate liquids from natural gas. He believes the cost of the move is right at half a million.

It took 44 weeks and more than 100 employees to build the demethanizer tower. The whole set up is 427 feet long and weighs more than 1.1 million pounds.

Weather permitting, the transport should take about two weeks to arrive at a gas processing plant in Fort Lupton, Colorado.
