Police are investigating a fatal house fire in west Tulsa as a homicide.
Firefighters found one person dead after responding to smoke coming from a west Tulsa home Tuesday morning.
The home is located in the 3500 block of west Easton. Someone driving by noticed smoke coming from the house and called 911 at about 6 a.m.
Firefighters found the body in a bed at the back of the house. They said the home's utilities were turned off and the fire appeared to have started near the back of the home.
Police say the death is suspicious and that the person's body was badly burned. They have not released any information yet on who the victim was.
