Sand Springs Appliance Shop Destroyed By Fire

Sand Springs firefighters say Try It Again Appliances, an appliance repair business at 200 East Morrow Road, is a total loss after a fire Tuesday night.

Firefighters were called to the scene at about 9:30 p.m. and found heavy smoke and fire. The building, which has been remodeled several times over the years, could not be saved. Firefighters instead concentrated on saving nearby properties, according to Fire Chief Mike Wood.

There were reports that someone might be staying in the building, but that person was not home at the time of the fire.

Wood said they do not know what caused the blaze and expect the investigation to take several days.
