Mother Of Escaped Haskell County Inmate Arrested

Haskell County deputies arrested the mother of a man who escaped from the county jail earlier this week.

Edward Branch was in jail, accused of robbing an elderly woman by holding a knife to her throat.

The Stigler News Sentinel reports he escaped the jail through a room that houses the plumbing.

Branch's mother was taken into custody Tuesday. Sarah Branch faces charges of harboring a fugitive and obstruction of justice.

She lives in a mobile home park that's just down the street from the back of the jail.

Branch is 35 years old, 5'5" and 150 pounds with light brown hair and a number of tattoos.
