The races must go on.

This past week the Sand Springs BMX track had vital equipment stolen, leaving Sunday's scheduled races in jeopardy.

But thanks to donations from other BMX tracks as well as those who just love the sport, the starting gate went off without a hitch, and a wide variety of Green Country fans were able to race their hearts out.

"Our youngest rider is about 19-20 months old. Oldest rider around 63. So it's not just for kids it's for all BMX riders. And the BMX family is a close-knit community," track operator Roy Kline said.

If you would like to test your speed, the next race is Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m.
