Oklahomans Can Now Apply For And Renew Handgun Licenses Online

According to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, a new system has been launched that would allow users to submit applications to apply or renew handgun licenses online.

The Self-Defense Act License On-Line Application system can be accessed on the OSBI website.

The new service, according to the news release, is a product of partnership between the OSBI and OK.gov, Oklahoma's official website.

More than 60,000 Oklahomans applied for a gun license in 2013. The OSBI expects the new system to streamline the application process and make it easier for Oklahomans.
