Two men were arrested for copper theft in Okmulgee County, according to the Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office. Michael Ray Burns and Ryan Daniel Talley are in custody on complaints of larceny and second degree burglary.

Sheriff Eddy Rice says the copper theft was reported Saturday morning near Dentonville and Kennedy roads. The two suspects ran from the area but left their vehicle at the scene, according to a news release.

Investigators found large bags of copper wire and burglary tools that were seized as evidence, Rice said. They located Burns, 37, and Talley, 26, at a home on Dentonville Road.

Creek Nation Lighthorse Police assisted with the arrests, Rice said.
