Thursday night's storm went from a funnel in the sky to a tornado on the ground in Broken Arrow very quickly, which sent people scrambling to their safe places.
Packed a tornado bag last - still had it ready this week
"We were watching the weather all day, of course on channel six," said Jill Allen. "The weather people are saying, 'Broken Arrow, take cover now.'"
It was a weather warning Jill Allen took seriously. With no storm shelter or basement, she and her husband grabbed their dog to ride out the storm in the home's only interior closest.
"We got pillows over us and we heard the big, loud...when it was coming," Allen said.
She said the storm didn't last but a couple minutes, but in that time, it was a force to be reckoned with.

"We could hear the house falling apart around us," Allen said. "I knew the roof was still over us, but I didn't know what was standing outside of there. And my husband opens up the door and says, 'Oh my God.'"
Most of the walls are still standing, her back windows are busted, the garage is gone and the roof and attic was shredded, scattering 80 years worth of sentimental family Christmas memorabilia.
"Hopefully, it's kind of all out here, and all of my precious children are digging it out piece by piece," Allen said.
As these victims were picking up the pieces, they were also preparing for another round of storms. The Allens covered all of their furniture, so they don't get anymore damage.
But even with more storm clouds rolling in, Allen is taking this day in stride.
"Yeah, well that's about all you can do. What can you do? No worries, take it one day at a time, so that's what we're doing," she said.
The Allens are not sure if their house can be saved, but they say they do want to rebuild in the same neighborhood.
