A man is in jail this weekend after police say he broke into a Tulsa business and stole a bicycle worth thousands, then threatened and spat on a police officer as he was being arrested.
Vincent Maselli, 51, was arrested and booked on complaints of 2nd degree burglary, throwing human waste on a police officer, both of which are felony crimes, threatening a violent act, and resisting arrest.
Police were notified of a burglary in progress in the 500 block of East 11th Street, Saturday afternoon around 2:20.
According to the arrest report, an officer found Maselli in the area, sitting with a bicycle next to him. Police said the officer repeatedly told Maselli to put his hands up and he refused.
Police said Maselli continued to resist arrest. While he was being transported to the Tulsa jail, he yelled at the arresting officer, "I will crack your head open and kill you," and spat on the officer's arm, the report says.
Police said a witness reported seeing Maselli break the glass of the business and enter, and then carry out the bicycle, which the business owner said was worth $6,000.
Court records show Maselli has a previous felony conviction in Tulsa County.
Maselli is being held on $12,000 bond.
