A former city of Muskogee employee accused of embezzling money while she was a supervisor at the city's River Country Water Park turned herself in Wednesday.

A former city of Muskogee employee accused of embezzling money while she was a supervisor at the city's River Country Water Park turned herself in Wednesday.

Felicia Pruitt is charged with embezzling $53,265.76 between June and August 2011.

Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore says the charge followed a lengthy investigation by Muskogee Police after she was dismissed from her job in August 2011.

After posting a $10,000 bond, Pruitt was released pending a court hearing on September 14, 2012.
