From The KOTV Vault: Artist Paints Flag Mural In Downtown Tulsa In 1984

Editor's note:  We're preparing to move into a new building in late 2012, so we're taking inventory of everything in our old building, including thousands of old videotapes.  We're finding some interesting stories and sharing them here on NewsOn6.com

Believe it or not, there was a time when there WASN'T a huge mural of flags on two buildings in downtown Tulsa.

Artist Jim Corlett spent weeks painting the mural, beginning in June of 1984.  It's held up well over the last 28 years, so we thought you'd enjoy seeing this story about how and why Jim painted it.
