Missing Tulsa Woman Found Safe

A developmentally disabled woman reported missing in Tulsa has been found, according to Volunteers of America of Oklahoma, which provides residential care for her.

Katie Vaclaw, 28, was found in good condition in the Tulsa area Friday. She was last seen Thursday evening near 51st and Harvard.

Vaclaw has Prader-Willi Syndrome, a genetic defect which causes an obsession with food.

As a result, individuals with this syndrome often flee from supervision to seek food.
