A former Ottawa County Sheriff's Office detective Troy Wilmoth, 45, has been charged with a number of drug-related counts following a search of his home in Miami last Thursday.
He appeared in court Tuesday morning.
According to Chris Morris with the Ottawa County District Attorney's Drug Task Force, after the search, Wilmoth was charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled and dangerous substance within 2,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Morris says officers found shake and bake meth making materials, a semi automatic pistol, electronic scales and marijuana.
Wilmoth was arrested and taken to the Ottawa County jail.
