The second day of the Edmond Baseball Classic produced just that - a classic.
Southmoore took a 10-5 lead into the bottom of the seventh and final inning, but Choctaw rallied to score 6 runs in a dramatic 11-10 victory.
Reggie Wright started the rally with an RBI single to make the score 10-6. Then the Southmoore pitching staff sputtered with two walks and a wild pitch, which scored three runs to cut the lead to 10-9. Then Matt Richardson's two-run single scored the game winning runs.
"Matt Richardson is a extremely hard-nosed player," Choctaw coach Mark Craft said. "He just steps up there seems like clutch situations he's at his best."
