St. Mary’s Squeezes Past Jones
The Rockets scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past the Longhorns; the two teams combine for four hits.

JONES, Oklahoma – Mount St. Mary’s needed a late inning rally to defeat Jones 2-1 Saturday in the finals of the Jones Kiwanis Invitational Tournament.
With the game tied 1-1, Hurley Fry’s sacrafice fly to right field in the bottom of the sixth inning was deep enough to score the go-ahead run for the Rockets.
Mount St. Mary’s pitcher ChrisSutton closed out the game with his 9th strikeout , allowing only one hit in his complete game performance.
Longhorns’ starterJeff Stursa was almost as impressive, allowing only three hits and striking out five Rocket batters in the loss.
