MOORE, Oklahoma -- Southmoore’s Tilford Thornton scored 24 points against Yukon Tuesday, but the rest of his teammates managed only 11 points in a 51-35 defeat to the Millers.
The Millers connected on five 3-pointers in the first half giving them a big advantage early.
Yukon led at halftime by 11 points and increased their lead to 17 in the 3rd quarter after a Matthew Burton three-pointer. Southmoore would whittle Yukon’s lead to 12 in the third, but could get no closer.
Burton led the scoring charge for Yukon, finishing with 13 points. D’Anthony Perkins and Jordan Brown added ten a piece for the Millers.
