TULSA, Oklahoma – In a low-scoring, physical game on Tuesday night, the Union Redskins overcame the Owasso Rams 42-28 at the UMAC.
The Redskins held the Rams to just 3 points in the 1st quarter, and built a 23-9 lead by halftime. In the second half, Owasso tried to stage a comeback. The Rams pulled within 7 points late in the fourth quarter, but were not able overcome a combination of their own poor shooting and the Union defense.
This marks the first win of the season for Union; their next game will be at the Springdale Har-Ber Tournament starting December 27th. As for the Rams, they will take the next couple weeks off as well. Owasso will be back in action on December 28th at the Siloam Springs (AR) Tournament.
