Layna Dewell Oklahoma Sports Staff Writer OKLAHOMA CITY—Heritage Hall squeaked by Bethany 14-7 to remain undefeated and still sit atop class 3A-3.
The Chargers(9-0, 6-0) handed the Bronchos (7-2, 5-1) their first district loss and after being down 0-7 in the first half, Heritage Hall scored on a great pass from #13 Cooper Cloud to #3 Sterling Shepard.
The third quarter was a big defensive battle between both teams but Heritage Hall found a way to win even without star running back Barry Sanders who is out with an ankle injury.
Heritage Hall will close out the regular season Nov. 5 as they host the Kingfisher Yellowjackets, while Bethany travels to Newcastle to take on the Racers.
