CHOCTAW, Oklahoma -- Midwest City upset No. 1 Edmond Santa Fe 59-53 to advance to the state tournament.
Midwest City led 27-24 at the half, but gave up the lead in the third and started the fourth quarter trailing 42-40.
The Bombers hit six-straight free throws, including four straight from Trael Colbert to clinch the win over the top team in Class 6A.
“I feel really good for my kids,” said Midwest City head coach Dewayne Bradley. “That was a good win for us.”
Colbert led all scorers with 20 points, while Xavier McClish contributed 11.
Edmond Santa Fe will face Mustang on Saturday night with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
