OKLAHOMA CITY -- The 2009 high school football season will likely be remembered for OSSAA rulings, suspensions and ineligible players. And even though the season is over, the news keeps coming in.
Oklahoma Sports has learned that class 6A powerhouse Southmoore will forfeit one game from last season after a player was ruled ineligible. The game in question came against Midwest City in week 3, which Southmoore initially won 38-35.
The loss drops Southmoore’s final record to 10-3 and Midwest City improves to 10-2.
The result would not have impacted the final standings since it was a non-district game.
Southmoore may appeal the decision to the OSSAA at its next meeting on January 13.
