SAPULPA, Oklahoma - - The Sapulpa Chieftains (1-7, 1-4) are trying to salvage a bit of their pride this season, after things didn’t turn out the way they expected. They had a tough test at home against the Sand Springs Sandites (4-4, 2-3) who were fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Chieftains couldn’t get it done against the Sandites and fell 49-44. Sand Springs wraps up its season against Claremore next Friday.
