CLAREMORE, Oklahoma -- A Claremore family experienced a flash flood this week, without a drop of rain falling.
Their above-ground swimming pool collapsed, sending a wall of water crashing into their home.
Troy Nelson says his 9-year-old son was getting out of the pool when the wall suddenly collapsed.
"He flowed out with the water, freaked out but OK," said Nelson. "The water washed down the neighbor's driveway, and also came into our living room."
He says the family spent the evening vacuuming the water out of the house and shoveling the neighbor's driveway gravel out of the road.
He snapped some photos and sent them to NewsOn6.com's Share page.

Nelson says they managed to save the carpet, but had to replace the carpet pad.
"Luckily most of the house is tile floor," he said.
Nelson says it was an older pool with a little bit of rust showing, but nothing indicated it was about to give way.
The water wiped out the grill and some plants, but a new pool is on the way.
"I wish we had video of the whole thing. It was pretty surreal," Nelson said.
