Former Sooner Ashley Paris Returns to WNBA

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Former Sooner Ashley Paris was signed Friday by the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, defending champions of the WNBA’s Eastern Conference.

Paris was named All-Big 12 and helped OU to the NCAA women’s Final Four in 2009. The L.A. Sparks chose her with the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2009 WNBA Draft, but she was released before the start of the regular season.

Paris’ new deal with the Dream is a training camp contract. The team will open its season June 5 at home against New York at 3 p.m.
