TULSA, Oklahoma -- According to Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman, former Tulsa offensive coordinator Chad Morris will interview Tuesday night to take over as the Golden Hurricane’s head coach.
Earlier in the week, Morris accepted the position as the Clemson Tigers’ offensive coordinator, but has yet to sign a contract. Morris spent one season at Tulsa and guided the Golden Hurricane’s offense to 505.62 total yards per game – fifth in the nation.
According to Bohls’ source, the job is down to Morris and former TU head coach Steve Kragthorpe, who lives in Tulsa with his family.
The decision could come as early as Wednesday.
