Nolan Ryan Admits a 'High Probability' Rangers' Triple-A Team will Move to Round Rock

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers President Nolan Ryanadmitted in an ESPN.com chat the team was strongly considering moving its Triple-A franchise from Oklahoma City to Round Rock.

"I would say there's a high probability that Round Rock would replace Oklahoma City as our Triple-A franchise," Ryan said.

The RedHawks have been affiliated with the Rangers since 1983, when the club was known as the 89ers. In 1998, a team name change and a new ballpark gave birth to the RedHawks the city knows today.

Ryan also said he doesn't plan on encroaching the territory of the Houston Astros, saying the team would stay away from Corpus Christi as it reevaluates its farm system.
