Tulsa Shock to Unveil Mascot Saturday

With the season days away, the Shock is prepared to introduce its mascot.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The players and coaches are almost ready. The colors and jerseys have been unveiled.

There's only one thing left for the Tulsa Shock to do before its season-opener on May 15 against the Minnesota Lynx - introduce a mascot.

The Shock will introduce its mascot on Saturday, May 8 at 11 a.m. at Hunter Park.

Like Rumble, the Oklahoma City Thunder's resident entertainer and mascot, the new Shock mascot will perform dunks and pump up the crowd during timeouts as part of its day-to-day activities.

Less than 700 tickets are still available for the season-opener, which tips off at 7 p.m. at the BOK Center. To order tickets call 918-599-WNBA or email the Shock at tickets@tulsashock.net.
