NEW YORK -- The Los Angeles Sparks selected former Oklahoma State guard Andrea Riley with the eighth pick in the WNBA Draft.

Riley was the 2010 Nancy Lieberman Award winner, honoring the top female point guard in Division 1 college basketball. The Dallas native led the nation in scoring with 26.7 points per game. She also led the Big 12 with 6.5 assists per contest.

The Sparks finished third in the Western Conference last season and made it to the conference finals in the playoffs.
