TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Robert’s Warren Niles was named Summit League Player of the Week this week, earning the honor for the second time in his young career.
The freshman guard averaged 25.5 points last week, shooting close to 60 percent. He put up 30 points in the Golden Eagles’ game against league-leader Oakland.
It is the first time a Summit League freshman has been named Player of the Week multiple times since ORU’s Caleb Green and Ken Tutt were both honored three times apiece in 2003-04.
Niles is currently averaging 12.4 points and 3.9 rebounds. He’s shooting 37.5 percent from behind the arch.
