Tulsa WNBA Team Name Voting to Close Sunday

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The poll to vote for the team name of Tulsa's WNBA franchise will close Sunday at midnight. The choices are; Shock, Fire and Tempo. The names were narrowed to three in late November after owners and league officials considered dozens of possibilities.

Fans can cast their votes at www.wnba.com/tulsa. More than 3,750 votes had been submitted by Friday according to a team press release. Co-owner Bill Cameron said the new name and logo will be announced in January.
