OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops denied the rumors that he would be interested in leaving Oklahoma for a possible coaching position at Notre Dame.
”That’s ridiculous. Some confidant? I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Stoops said at media availability Monday. “Notre Dame doesn’t have a job right now. That’s just some guy making something up. That’s ridiculous.”
With Fighting Irish head coach Charlie Weis on the hot seat, rumors emerged early Monday that Stoops would be in the mix for the top spot at Notre Dame.
