TULSA, Oklahoma -- Inspiring young minds - a lofty goal that's much harder to actually achieve.

But an ORU project is making a difference in North Tulsa. It's called the Man to Man Project.

Here's how it works: young men at Oral Roberts University are teamed up with male students at North Tulsa high schools.

The goal is to expose the younger students to a different way of thinking by encouraging them to go to college and pursue career paths that take them outside of the comfort zone where they grew up.

The program's just a few months old but it's already seen success: a few of the high school students who have been inspired by the ORU students will now be the first members of their families to go to college.

The group's founder Dexter Sullivan's only 22 years old. He plans to stick with the nonprofit after graduation.

"We really would love to see one day every campus in the state of Oklahoma adopting a school and taking this program to the community," said Dexter Sullivan of the Man to Man Project.

The Man to Man Project's hosting a conference at 7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel on ORU's campus.
