ROGERS COUNTY, Oklahoma -- More than 60 people accused or buying or selling drugs are in jail after a huge drug bust in Rogers County Thursday.

The operation began in August 2010 with undercover drug buys. It was named Operation Mickey, in honor of Claremore police chief Mickey Perry, who is retiring this month.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office said 64 people were taken into custody, including Judy Perry, Danielle Trepanier, William Bushyhead, Bennie Withrow and many others.

Rogers County sheriff's deputies, Claremore police officers, agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and many other agencies served the 80 warrants Thursday morning before dawn.

"We certainly want to send the message out there, these people were all arrested for dealing drugs, the mission, rather, the statement being don't sell drugs in Rogers County or Claremore," Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton.

Deputies said 13 children were taken into protective custody during the drug sweep.

The sheriff says even though all these arrests will fill his jail to overflowing and will add cases to the DA and the courts, it's worth it to get drug dealers out of the community and behind bars.
