MIAMI, Oklahoma -- The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office has asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to assist in the investigation of a body found in a field in rural Ottawa County Tuesday evening.
Farmers harvesting soybeans found the body and called sheriff's deputies.
At this point, Sheriff Terry Durborow says the OSBI and the state Medical Examiner's Office are processing the scene.
The identification of the body is pending.
Durborow says initial reports indicate the cause of death was most likely a self inflicted gunshot wound.
