CLAREMORE, Oklahoma – A man was severely burned when a home in Claremore caught fire Thursday evening, according to the Claremore Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 2400 block of Holly Road just after 6 p.m.
They arrived to find the home heavily engulfed in flames. Claremore Fire Department Chief Horton said five people were inside the home at the time. One man was taken by Lifeflight to the hospital. His name has been released.
Horton said firefighters had to lay hose lines across Highway 20 to help get the fire under control
Investigators are trying to determine how the fire started.
