TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA -- An army of bikers rumbled into Tahlequah Monday as they remembered a heartbreaking page of Oklahoma history.

The motorcyclists traced the Trail of Tears, the path Native American tribes took during their forced removal to the Oklahoma Territory.

Thousands of riders kicked off their ride in Tennessee Friday, September 17, 2010, only 130 made it all the way to Tahlequah.

Bill Carson, who leads the ride, says the pack gets stronger every year.

"All motorcycles in the southeast are rented for that weekend just to ride on the Trail of Tears. You couldn't buy a motorcycle," Carson said.

It's the tenth time bikers have made the trek the entire way to Oklahoma.
