UNDATED -- If you've recently mowed your lawn, you might have noticed a few bald spots.
Experts say that's because our harsh winter took a toll on lawns, leaving behind patches of dead Bermuda grass across Green Country.
"We had a longer than normal, colder than normal winter, and a longer snow cover, so with all that said, that's why we are having the problems now," said Stephen Smith of Southwood Nursery.
With a little work, you can get your grass to grow again.
Smith says it's important to rake out dead spots.
Oxygen is key for healthy lawns, so aerating the soil can help. Don't forget to fertilize, but Smith says just use a half strength mix on the dead spots.
And if you still have problems, have your soil tested. Testing will help identify disease and other problems.
